Most Popular Journals 2025

At present, McDermott Library provides access to nearly 100,000 journal and newspaper titles to the campus. All titles are included in the library catalog and can be accessed by current staff, faculty, and students. Our catalog describes each journal and what volumes are available in either print or electronic format. The library prefers electronic access to journals when they are available at a reasonable cost.
Articles located in a journal which is not available can be ordered through our Interlibrary Loan Service from another library. The UTD community can request articles from Interlibrary Loan.

Most researchers use a subject-themed database to determine articles from the journal which might be important for their research which can be found in our A to Z Database List. There are separate databases available that cover journal literature by subject. Further information could be gained by chatting with a librarian through our chat service. Use the ASK US link on the right side of the library website to ask a librarian for assistance.
