Center for BrainHealth Brain Recharge Station

To support brain health among UTD library patrons, Perkins&Will, in collaboration with the Eugene McDermott Library and Center for BrainHealth, created the Brain Recharge Station, located in MC 2.518. This intentionally designed space encourages brain breaks — short, intentional pauses that help refresh and recharge the brain, priming it for deeper, more focused thinking.

For an effective brain break, it’s essential to step away from distractions, including technology, books and social interactions, for at least five minutes. To promote this environment, the Brain Recharge Station should be used by one patron at a time, with all devices and reading materials set aside during the break.
