The Final Days of Saigon: 50 Years Later

Curated by Jennifer Ottinger

“The 50th Anniversary of the Fall of Saigon” draws on the History of Aviation Archives in the Special Collections and Archives Division to document the war’s final days and earlier Vietnam War moments. Rare photographs show Civil Air Transport pilots on supply runs, medevac missions, and evacuation flights, capturing how people in the air and on the ground worked under intense pressure and how aviation shaped the conflict.
